New year's resolution 2025
Before setting my new goals for this year, it might be wise to reflect on last year’s achievements.
Starting with the most noteworthy, I became a University of London student and I already passed both of the courses I took last semester - that is, Computational Math and Introduction to Programming I. I also was granted recognition of prior learning for How Computer’s Work. So that’s already 45 credits out of 360 I need to be awarded my bachelor’s degree.
I also managed to do some exercise two to three times a week and get around 8 hours of sleep a day. Not bad.
However, on a negative note, I failed to prepare and sit for Cambridge’s C2 Proficiency Exam.
Consequently, basing my judgement on what happened last year, and the expectation I can set for 2025, this is my new year’s resolution:
- Visit England.
- Wake up at 06:00 and be at the office by 07:00. This will imply being in bed by 22:00 to maintain the 8 hours of sleep requirement I have set for myself.
- Pass both of my Discrete Mathematics and Introduction to Programming II courses and the courses I’ll be taking next semester, which will probably be Fundamentals of Computer Science and Algorithms and Data Structures I.
- Keep exercising three times a week.
- Be wise about my spending. Delve into corporate bonds. Do not let a single month go by without purchasing securities.
- Prepare and sit for Cambridge’s C2 Proficiency Exam in AACI. It could be helpful to complete the books on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation that I have lying around.
